What is Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy takes the techniques of yoga and applies them to meet the needs of each  student. Because every student is a unique individual, every Yoga Therapy program is different. Even if two students have the same health condition, they are likely to receive very different Yoga Therapy practices. This is because Yoga Therapy does not simply address immediate symptoms in isolation. Instead, Yoga Therapy considers the needs of the whole person, taking into account their personality, health history, lifestyle, attitudes, belief system, preferences and more.

Yoga Therapy At Hara 

1:1 Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy sessions at HARA include an initial consultation and two subsequent follow up consultations to ensure you have optimal guidance and care throughout your Yoga Therapy journey.

During your initial consultation you will be invited to share past and present experiences of your health condition, your lifestyle, your concerns as well as your aspirations. Following this your Yoga Therapist will guide you through methods from the Yoga Therapy framework such as postures, breath work, meditation and relaxation methods to create a Yoga Therapy Program specifically tailored to meet your individual needs. 

At the end of your session your yoga therapist will give you a short 10 minute personalised Yoga Therapy practice. You will be emailed a personalised Yoga Therapy Program within 7 days of your initial consultation.

The initial consultation is a wonderful way for you to learn how to incorporate a Yoga Therapy practice into your daily life.

We recommend that you book your follow up Yoga therapy sessions weekly moving forward from the initial consultation. This will enable you to work through any areas of opportunity presented in your personalised practice and refine the practice to be most beneficial for you in your journey to vitality.

 

Small Focus Group Yoga Therapy Classes

Yoga Therapy group classes include an initial private session with Lauren. 

During the initial consultation you will be invited to share past and present experiences of your health condition, your lifestyle, your concerns as well as your aspirations. Following this your Yoga Therapist will guide you through methods from the Yoga therapy framework such as postures, breath work, meditation and relaxation methods to create a Yoga Therapy Program specifically tailored to you. 

This initial session is a wonderful way for you to learn how to incorporate a Yoga Therapy practice into your daily life. At the end of your session your yoga therapist will give you a short 10 minute personalised Yoga Therapy practice. You will be emailed a personalised Yoga Therapy Program within 7 days of your initial consultation.

Throughout the duration of your yoga therapy group class your yoga therapist will check in with you to see how you are progressing with your daily personalised practice and offer  ongoing support and feedback.
